At TOSCO Studio, "unique" is more than a word; it’s the ethos that shapes every piece we create.
At TOSCO Studio, we see concrete as more than just a material—it’s a canvas for creativity, a medium for storytelling, and a bridge between art and function. Founded on the belief that raw materials hold infinite potential, our work transforms concrete into sculptural, handcrafted pieces that defy expectations. From furniture and surfaces to collectible home objects, each creation is a testament to the beauty of imperfection, craftsmanship, and material exploration.
Every TOSCO piece is made slowly and intentionally, embracing organic textures, rich marbled pigments, and bold yet quiet forms. We honor traditional techniques while pushing the boundaries of what concrete can be, crafting each object by hand to ensure no two are ever the same. Sustainability is at the core of our process, using natural pigments, durable compositions, and responsible production methods to create lasting, low-impact designs.
Based in Lisbon and working globally, we collaborate with architects, designers, and collectors who share our vision of design as an art form. Whether through bespoke projects or limited-edition collections, TOSCO Studio is a place where materiality, craftsmanship, and contemporary aesthetics converge—where concrete is not just shaped but reimagined.
Joana Esteves is the designer behind Tosco Studio.
Art has always been a constant presence in her life for as long as she can remember. This passion materialised in various forms as she grew up and even at times when she was more withdrawn, its presence remained.
Joana attended the drawing course at the college of fine arts in Lisbon before starting her career in advertising.
She worked as a digital designer for 5 years until the call was too strong and she gave up to open a small studio in her garage. This is where Tosco was born, from the enormous desire to work with hands, explore materials, form and color.
